FAQ's

What do I get?  You will receive  1) A really special finishers medal, custom made and designed.  2) A well stocked base camp with plenty of nibbles and refreshments for during and post race replenishment. Memebership to Zig Zag Runing 

Where is the event? home of the horseheath Trials, as per the map above, 

When do I get my race number?  You'll pick this up on race day morning from the race HQ on the morning, please get there at your allocated time, teh first set off times will start from 9:00 am. 

Are there time limits?  Yes, we have a 6 hour time limit. You must at least be heading out on your last lap at the latest 6:59.59 on the timer.

Do you have secure baggage facilities  No. But you're free to leave bags at the start/finish. There will always be someone around but we can't guarantee their security, in the event of rain we can't guarantee things won't get wet, we try as we will have a gazebo that any baggage can be left in, You will also be able to park close to the start/finish don't forget. 

Can I leave my own drinks/food at the aid station? Yes no problem at all, we will have a dedicated table for runners own supplies.

Trail shoes? Road Shoes?  I'd suggest road shoes, whilst there is an element of grass and footpath, the majority of the course is made up of well kept path/track.

Is the course closed to the public? The majority of the course is closed to the public, although a small stretch is along a public footpath, whic is rarely used,  along this point, runners do not have the right of way and need to be considerate of other users of the land. Please don't litter, we suggest bring reusable cups as we will be a cupless event, we'll have a bin at the base camp and another on the far side of the course so please deposit any rubbish in these.. 

What on course facilities do you provide? Water, at the moment we are restriced, ordinarily it would be squash, nibbles, goodies, 

We will definatly still have an enthusiastic Race Director, timekeeper, some marshals music, dad dancing and encouragement every lap! 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please do not bring any glass onto the grounds, the course is regularly used by horses and no glass is allowed for obvious reasons
