We hope you all had a fantastic time today, our last event of the Year! It was so nice to meet so many of you for the first time and it was also so nice to see so many familiar faces - we welcome all of you to the Zig Zag Family!
Today's event Route: Windmill Way Half Marathon Loop (for those doing a half or more), Golding Hills (for those doing 5 or 10k)
It was great to see so many of you completing your firsts, from 5k, 10k, half marathons, first marathons and even first Ultra Marathons today. Shouting out congratulations today to Nicola Stevenson for completing her 100th Half Marathon meaning she can now become a full member of the UK 100 Half Marathon club. Well done Nicola.
Also congratulations to Zoe Cook (many know as Zag) who completed her last race today as Cook before she gets married on Monday to become Zoe Mills!
Thank you to the team who arranged the special t-shirts for the stag-hen do. And to Paul Forshaw for his terrific speech about what Zig Zag have achieved over the last 5 ish years.
Marshals and Support: Once again we would like to extend our gratitude to all the brilliant marshals who ensured a smooth and fun experience for everyone. Their commitment to making this event enjoyable for all participants is remarkable.

What's Next – We now take a couple of weeks off to recoup. However we expect 2026 to be bigger and better than before and we hope many of you will join us again. Attached you will see the diary for 2026. A couple of events have already sold out of event medals so if you have your eyes on a specific piece of bling, you may want to enter sooner rather than later. If you like this venue, we are also back here on Saturday 17th January for Windmill Way Wander. This uses the same routes as today so gives you the opportunity to try and improve your previous time or distance. The Event Medal for this race is sold out but you can still come along and join us under the Lucky Dip option.
Next years Event - If you enjoyed today's event we will be hosting Christmas Canter next year at Suffolk Running Centre, on the Hargrave Half Route on Saturday 19th December. Entries will open soon.
