The Easter Challenge - 29th March 2024

Updated: Mar 31

Thank you all for coming along today to the Easter Challenge at the beautiful Suffolk Running Centre in Barrow, The weather was on our side for most of the day today, the occasional sun bursting through the intermittent clouds

We had a beautiful Undulating lap, as promised lots of downhill, the occasional uphill, the feedback we have received has been very positive, its a wonderful venue with some amazing views. Whilst a tough course today, just remember, if you can do it there you can do it anywhere

It was great to meet so many of you for the first time and it was also so nice to see so many familiar faces - we welcome all of you to the Zig Zag Family! Congratulations to all of you who achieved PB's, to those of you who did firsts, from first 10k's, first Half Marathons, First heavy Half Marathons, First Marathons and even first Ultras

Thank you to everyone who donated towards the Thetford foodbank for Mel, it has made an amazing difference and very much appreciated.

Today's event Route: A 10.6k loop with paths, trail and grass, amazing views and the lots of downhill. We are back at the Suffolk Running Centre for The Other Run, utilising the Windmill Half route and the Kirtling Full Marathon route on on 21st April,

Marshals and Support:  We are so lucky to have the best marshals in the world. Once again we would like to extend our gratitude to all the brilliant marshals who ensured a smooth and fun experience for everyone. Their commitment to making the events enjoyable for all participants is remarkable.

Pictures and Memories: Remember to check out the amazing pictures captured during today's run! They will be uploaded to our Zig Zag running group on Facebook. Feel free to tag yourself and your friends to share the moments.

What’s new – We have recently launched our own Zig Zag Running App.  This can be found in the app store on your mobile device.  It’s a quick way to view these results, access events and see what we have on offer in our shop in terms of merchandise and virtual entries.

All medals are ordered into May with some of the next few events either sold out or getting close so don’t leave it too long if you have your eye on a specific piece of bling for your collection.

That said, we attach the race diary for the whole of 2024 and into 2025 so you can start planning your adventures.

What's next - Sunday 7th April 2024 for the Haughley Festival of Running, at Haughley Park in Stowmarket, we have a few Lucky dip spaces available if you wish to join us!

We are also hosting the Great Barrow Challenge (10 Events in 10 Days) for the second year.  Another great opportunity to push your boundaries and see what you can achieve.

Attached you'll find the results from today, course records and events diary.  Congratulations to those that took a record, got their own PR or PB’s.

Until the next run

Best wishes

Stephen and Zoe
