š Great Barrow Challenge 2026 ā Day 7 Recap
š Suffolk Running Centre, Bury St Edmunds Ā· 10.6k lap
Day 7 of 10 done ā and in scorching heat! āļø A proper test out there today, with the sun beating down on the loop. 46 runners dug in and got it done, from 5k up to 6 laps.
š Two more incredible milestones in two days:
ā¢ Paul Sutherland completed his 450th MARATHON yesterdayš ā an astonishing achievement, and he did it out in that heat.
ā¢ Sue Osborne-Clamp completed her 350th MARATHON š ā utterly brilliant. Take a bow, both.
š New course record: Bernie Henwood ā 15k ā 3:45:51. Well run in those conditions.
š Distance covered today: ~1,458km (~906 miles).
š Running total after 7 days:
ā¢ Days 1ā6: 12,020km
ā¢ Day 7: 1,458km
ā¢ Combined: ~13,478km (~8,375 miles)
š Weāre now 34% of the way around the planet ā and, on the coastline map, three-quarters of the way round Britain (76%), closing in on home. Just 3 days to go!
š° Medals and cake all round ā and plenty of water in that heat. Everyone's a winner.
