Day 3 of 10 — and the biggest day yet! 94 runners out, from 5k all the way to a marathon-plus-20k. 💪
🏅 New course record: Alex Marshall again — Ultra + 20k (marathon + 20k) — 6:19:40. Three days, three course records. Unstoppable.
🌍 Distance covered today: ~2,544km (~1,581 miles) — a new daily high.
📈 Running total after 3 days:
• Day 1: 2,099km
• Day 2: 1,813km
• Day 3: 2,544km
• Combined: ~6,455km (~4,011 miles)
Perspective check: the field has now run further than London to New York (5,570km) — and there are still 7 days to go! 🌎
🍰 Medals and cake all round. Everyone's a winner. Special shout out today to Collette O'Hagan who quietly completed her 1100th lifetime marathon - yes folks, 1100! For tomorrow ONLY, anyone coming along and looking to arrive early will have the opportunity to park in the front overspill car park next door to the Suffolk Running Centre front entrance.
