š Great Barrow Challenge 2026 ā Day 10 Recap: THE FINISH
š Suffolk Running Centre, Bury St Edmunds
Ten days. Ten events. Done. š A huge final-day crowd of 97 runners came out to bring it home, from 5k to ultra ā and what a way to finish.
š 100 MARATHON CLUB: Julie Rickards completed her 100th career marathon today (5:58:54) ā half of them with us. An incredible milestone, and a very proud Zig Zag moment. š§”
š THE CLASS OF 2026: 33 runners went the whole way ā all ten days, back to back. Every single one a hero.
š Two final course records: Sarah Pennock (Ultra) and Jake Harker (Ultra 3 Laps).
š THE GRAND TOTAL ā across all 10 days, the field covered approximately 19,424km (12,070 miles). To put that almost unbelievable number in perspective:
ā¢ That's MORE than a full lap of the entire British coastline ā they ran all the way round Britain and kept going š¬š§
ā¢ Nearly HALFWAY around the planet (48%) š
ā¢ The length of Land's End to John o'Groats ā nearly 14 times over
ā¢ London to New York ā three and a half times
š° Medals, cake, and a whole lot of pride. From everyone at Zig Zag ā thank you, and well done. Everyone's a winner. š
