Good evening all. 238 runners | 11 distances | 5k to 11 laps
Haughley Park was packed today. 238 runners took on everything from the 5k all the way up to a solo 11-lap effort.
The numbers:
5k — 14 | 10k — 94 | 15k — 23
Half Marathon — 58 | Heavy Half — 8
6 Laps — 6 | 7 Laps — 4
Full Marathon — 21 | Ultra — 5
10 Laps — 4 | 11 Laps — 1
Five course records smashed:
Carrie Donovan — 10k (48:37)
Jordan Row — 15k (1:15:33)
Amy McMorran — 15k (1:32:41)
Steven Footer — 7 Laps (3:46:26)
Emily Fairs — Ultra (3:59:43)
Just to quantify that's a total cumulative distance: 4,579 km / 2,845 miles which is the equivalent of running from London to Moscow and back.
The big milestone today — Martin Thomerson completed his 200th marathon. Two Hundred Marathons. Take a bow.
Massive shout out to our amazing marshals who always make the day run smoothly and to Wilde & Greene for the burger stand — because nothing tops a post-run or even mid run (in one case) burger.
One last thank you to Events through a Lens for the great videos and shots taken today.
Everyone gets a medal. Everyone's a winner.
Until the next run
Stephen & Zoe
